Diamond
Separation

Our refinery uses various methods to remove stones from metal. Our stone removal process relies on both innovative technology and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs. We are able to remove diamonds from metals with a high degree of precision, ensuring that you get the most value out of every gem you sell. After the diamond has been separated from its setting, each stone is cleaned using a variety of chemicals. This cleaning process is done in a special ventilated room to avoid cross contamination and protect the environment. Our staff are trained to ensure that your diamond is always handled with care.
After cleaning the diamonds goes through an inspection process. The stone is examined for any damage, both on the surface and within the centre. The shape and size are also checked, as well as any other features that could affect cut grading or colour grading.
The process of inspecting a diamond for damage is so important because it will determine a number of factors in how we proceed during repairing or recutting your stone(s). This information can be useful if there are future repairs needed due to wear-and-tear over time (or due to accidents).
